Retiree Health and Life Insurance Task Force to Present Recommendations

The University of Idaho Retiree Health and Life Insurance Task Force has completed its work and is prepared to present their recommendations. The recommendations offer a Plan to sustain the retiree health program, but will propose changes for current and future retirees, including those hired after January 1, 2002. Task Force recommendations will be presented to the University during the comment period: October 24 – November 23, 2006. The comment period has been extended to December 20, 2006.  An executive decision period will follow and include Task Force recommendations as amended and gathered from the comment period. The University decision will be communicated by President Timothy White and Vice President Lloyd Mues in January 2007. Adopted changes will be effective July 1, 2007.

All benefit-eligible employees and retirees are encouraged to attend a presentation of the Task Force recommendation (times and dates detailed below) and/or to view their presentation and other details of their work.The Task Force Report and Recommendations will also be available in the Moscow Campus Library.

Retirees may attend a presentation at UIRA in Moscow or may attend a combined employee / retiree presentation provided at state-wide locations.
